Finally it is Spring and in this part of California that means that the hills are green and the trees that lost their leaves now have new leaves again.

The picture below was taken at the Montgomery Hills Park in San Jose at an overcast morning. It is only at this time of the year that the green of the hills and the leaves is almost too green. Six weeks to two months from now the hills will have turned yellow/brown and we will have to wait until December/January for the hills to turn this vibrant green colour again.

The picture is a HDR composition of three separate pictures of which one was over exposed by two stops, one under exposed by two stops and the third one at normal exposure. By using this technique I was able to capture as much detail as possible in the grass in the foreground and the leaves of the trees. The program I used was Photomatix version 3.2.
