Butterfly wave

We spend this Saturday at the beach, to be precise at Natural Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz. The weather was nice and I took the time to make some pictures of the remaining Natural Bridge and also of the waves crashing against a rock next to the bridge. Some of the waves made more of a spectacle of crashing than others like the picture below shows.

The way this wave crashes reminds me of a butterfly, which is fitting since the park is also home to overwintering Monarch Butterflies. But because of the nice weather most of them had chosen to start looking for food instead of hanging around the eucalyptus grove.

I like the picture a lot, hear a crashing wave near, not like the Dutch beach! Hope to see more pictures soon (do you still have time to go out weekends?).
