Water flow

Water flow is the title of this photo I took last week at Alum Rock Park in San Jose. It is a detail of the Penitencia Creek that flows through the park. The original picture was in colour but the result was not very exciting and therefore I experimented with turning it into Black and White. What I like about this picture are the different water flows that are created by the rocks in the river bed. Because the water in the creek was fast flowing, a shutter speed of 1/20 s at f/8.0 was enough to visualize the flow of the water around the rocks.
